Tailored

This is a photo of my mother and my grandmother - about year 1938 - 39. their outfits are both tailored by my great grandmother, she was a really clever dressmaker. As you can tell my grandmother was a bit of a fashionista.
My great grandmother started teaching my tailoring when I was 5 years old. when I was 6 I made dolls trousers all by myself, from the measurements, cutting and the sewing by hand.
When I was 15, I made all my clothes by myself.  I am still quit good with the scissors and the sewingmaschine . I have got two maschines, one big and one smaller. The big one is in my quilting room at our mountaincabin and the other one is in my scraproom in the city.

products used:
Swirlydoos FebKit with papers from Kaisercraft - Sweet nothings collection
the wooden rosebud and the big leaf are also Kaisercrft, painted with CH Studio Acrylic Paint
Some stickles here and there: Copper, Cotton candy and Pine Needles.
Distressed with Walnut Stain
Fabric flowers from Nille
Cream fabric and Apricot lace - from my stash
